Collective Camps
Our trailblazing take on the traditional STEM camp reflect our organization's core values: inclusion and
accessibility.
These camps give learners an opportunity to experience science, technology, engineering and math in a manner
that suits them best. Yet beyond establishing basic skills in STEM, each camper will develop valuable 21st
century skills (e.g., collaboration, digital literacy, critical thinking) to the best of their ability.
Accomodations are readily available upon request as we want every individual to make the most of
this experience.
What makes this experience different?
In a typical STEM camp, a huge emphasis is placed on acquiring hard skills. While these camps certainly
provide an opportunity for intellectual growth, the process of acquiring these skills is unique for every
individual.
In our Collective Camps, we encourage our campers to teach us how they learn best rather than offering
strict instruction. Our adaptive curricula thus ensures each individual's needs are met through every step
of the learning process.
When?
Our formal camp days are currently as follows:
2022: December 19th to 23rd
2023: February 20th to 24th
For a more casual yet equally immersive experience, try one of our weekly drop-in sessions!
Where?
Our week-long camps are typicallly conducted virtually, though we do have capacity for in-person attendees
(varies by location).
Our weekly drop-in sessions are held in-person, either at the
Mukilteo Library
or at
Kamiak High School.
Why?
All of our camps are offered completely free of charge! Furthermore, we've designed each of our programs
to be digitally accessible.
However, if you feel this program still isn't for you, let us know why! We'd be more than willing to
accomodate where we can.
